A national advanced-technology and
alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) public awareness event -- held on one day,
April 2, 2004, in
multiple locations nationwide -- with all sites meeting the same goals and
objectives yet each local event individually tailored to meet local needs and
local characteristics of the targeted audiences. Held in multiple locations
nationwide, this one-day event will be a dazzling display of how powerful the
choice to use AFVs can be.
Goals and Objectives
- To build awareness and
enthusiasm for AFVs and for clean-fueled, energy-efficient, and other
advanced- technology vehicles as viable options for consumer and fleet
transportation choice -- participants will see the trends, find the options,
meet the experts, explore ownership opportunities, and discover AFV training
and job possibilities. See also

- To bring together those in the
advanced-technology vehicle communities to build awareness and focus attention
on the good work they are providing for the alternative transportation cause.
Local partners will showcase their programs and build a platform for further
dialog about advanced-technology and AFVs, cleaner air, and energy
independence in their locale.
